For most users, Google Chrome should automatically update your Mighty extension! Sometime, it gets stuck, either because your Chrome version is behind or you haven’t closed Chrome in a while.
Step 1: Update Chrome and fully close and reopen
Sometimes Chrome just needs to ensure it is updated, and then fully close it down and re-open. Usually that is enough to update all your extensions.
If that doesn’t work or you don’t want to close Chrome right now, you can manually update your extension
Step 2: Manually updating your Mighty extension
Manually updating a Google Chrome extension involves a few steps. You might need to do this if the extension doesn't update automatically or if you want to install a specific version. Here's how to do it (See GIF below):
- Access Chrome Extensions:
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click on the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the browser to open the menu.
- Hover over "Extensions" and then select “Manage Extensions.” Alternatively, you can type
chrome://extensions/
in the address bar and press Enter.
- Enable Developer Mode:
- In the Extensions page, you'll see a checkbox labeled "Developer mode" in the upper-right corner. Ensure it's checked. This mode allows you to manually install extensions.
- Select the “Update” button
- Once developer mode is enabled, you will see more information, including the Extension version and a set of buttons in the upper-left corner.
- If you select the “Update” button, it will update all your extension that are behind
- Refresh Rise 360
- Once the extension is updated, you will need to go back to Rise 360 and ensure that you reload the page. This ensures that everything is reloaded with the Chrome extension
