Manually updating a Google Chrome extension involves a few steps. You might need to do this if the extension doesn't update automatically or if you want to install a specific version. Here's how to do it (See GIF below):
- Access Chrome Extensions:
- Access the Extensions Page:
- Click on the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the browser to open the menu.
- Hover over "Extensions" and then select “Manage Extensions.” Alternatively, you can type
chrome://extensions/
in the address bar and press Enter.
- Enable Developer Mode:
- In the Extensions page, you'll see a checkbox labeled "Developer mode" in the upper-right corner. Ensure it's checked. This mode allows you to manually install extensions.
- Select the “Update” button
- Once developer mode is enabled, you will see more information, including the Extension version and a set of buttons in the upper-left corner.
- If you select the “Update” button, it will update all your extension that are behind
- Refresh Rise 360
- Once the extension is updated, you will need to go back to Rise 360 and ensure that you reload the page. This ensures that everything is reloaded with the Chrome extension
